We learned how to make lei the old-fashioned way, growing up in Hawaii, climbing trees and scrambling through the garden bare-footed to pick the greenest young ferns and the prettiest blossoms, and then sitting next to mom, grandma, auntie, and cousins to learn and create together. We use locally-grown flowers and foliage whenever possible, and supplement them with the freshest air-flown delivery of fresh flower stems from the tropics.
